  • 3 Accomplishments for the Week

  1. Started working on the paper we have to give and completed the methodology section.

  2. Figured out how far back I should trace the idea of secession (starting in 1850).

  3. Found a giant resource book that all of us can use as a source.

  • 3 Obstacles that Prevented Me from doing my Best Work

  1. Some trouble focusing on tasks due to procrastination. Truly, I am the biggest obstacle.

  2. Finding the resources to create a map I want to make was hard.

  3. One of my resources explained topics in a tricky way, which caused me to be confused for a while.

  • 3 Things I Learned This Week

  1. Learned more information about Frances Harper from Dr. Johnson.

  2. How to properly set up a research poster at a conference. Just adhere to the rules of the conference and you are pretty much good.

  3. More food for thought than anything else but Civil War era songs describing how each side felt about the war and the conflict are very interesting. Some are genuinely good songs that I listen to regularly now (Union Dixie for example).
